Yes, Rabbi Gelbwachs from Ohr Chodosh. Brother to Rabbi Moishe Gelbwachs of the Cheder and Rabbi Sruly Gelbwachs of YTT.
The niftar formerly was Rosh Yeshiva in Ohr Chodosh of Lakewood.
R’ Gelbwachs was such a warm, friendly and compassionate Rosh Yeshiva. As a former Talmid of Ohr Chodosh, I can attest to the warmth and individual attention he gave to each Talmud in the way each individual needed. This was at a time when Yeshivas like this didn’t really exist. R’ Gelbwachs was a trailblazer in this field and will surely be missed.
Yes. Of Or Chodosh fame.
The niftar was Rosh Yeshiva at Yeshiva Noam Hatalmud for the last ten years. Previously he led Yeshiva Ohr Chodosh High School and Bais Medrash Ohr HaTalmud.

Oiy Rebbi Rebbi, I’m broken. If not for Rabbi Gelwacks I would be married to a goy. Back in those days there wasn’t any Yeshiva like OHR CHODOSH. He saved me from ever entering the streets. Rebbi you were like my second father, I’m so lucky I just met him by different Talmids sons bar mitzvah, & I walked him to the car he told me. Sholam don’t give up miracles come in the blink of an eye. Hashem will take care if you.
The word lost a gadol hadar. Not stam. Oiy rebbi how will I move on with out you.
