  1. Such an inexpensive option that will save hours of waiting time. Their should be a dozen intersection with crossing guards. Prospect and Massachusetts, 4th and Monmouth. Let the TLS ask where people need them.

  2. Another expense we the taxpayers have to pick up so the developers can make money. They should be paying for it. The master plan called for impact fees. Yet over a year later still nothing.

  3. Seriously scared for those crossing guards’ lives! I can’t imagine any sane person willingly standing in the middle of those intersections! As if drivers here will abide by their direction – ha!
Anyone hear of street lights in this town?????

  4. Is anyone ever happy with anything done around this town?!
It seems that every time an attempt is made to improve an issue, there is always quite a few people who still are not happy.

    • Really?!, the real issue here, is that more thought needs to be given at the planning stage, before the developments are even built. Such as it’s happening now, we’re not building developments with an eye on what the area will be like in 5, 10, or 20 years.

It’s like having a growing child, but buying clothing and shoes for the child that are a size too small, and then constantly having to buy new shoes and clothing as the child grows. We should buy a size larger instead, knowing that the child will grow into them.

Maybe not the best analogy, but our curent way of doing things is only letting us apply “band aid” fixes to the problem, instead of sidestepping it altogether.

Oh sure, none of us knows the future, but we can make an educated guess that our “Lodz-on-the-Lake” is likely to keep growing. While a little bit of foresight may not prevent the problem, it would give us more options when these situations arise.

  5. james will now be backed up all the way to sunset, cause these guards think their role is just to let everyone make the left out of williams onto james. instead of stopping the oncoming traffic from james every time someone wants to make the left onto james, the guards should be stopping the traffic once every few minutes. thank you

  6. Not a solution – are you a trained crossing guard? Do you know how and what to do?
If not, then please don’t complain about and/or tell them how to do their job. And as the saying goes, If you think you can do a better job, then by all means…
Please be happy about the effort instead of being negative and unappreciative all the time
