On Friday, Special Counsel Robert Mueller ended his 674-day investigation into allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and possible collusion with the Putin-led nation by Trump campaign individuals. Mueller handed his report to Attorney General William Barr, who will review the material before deciding with whom the contents of the report will be shared, and whether portions of the report will be made public for the average American to be able to see.
The truth is that regardless of what is written in Mueller’s report, it won’t make much of a difference, at least to the Democrats and mainstream media. If the report claims that President Trump acted inappropriately during the 2016 campaign in regards to Russia, we will immediately begin to hear calls for impeachment and resignation. The mainstream media will have a field day, taking victory lap and victory lap, and creating manufactured drama about Trump selling the country down the river. The media will bend over backwards, no matter how inconsequential Trump’s actions may turn out to have been, to demonize him and paint him as the most treasonous individual since Benedict Arnold in the Revolutionary War.
And if the report exonerates President Trump, the exact same thing will happen. The Democrats and media will still paint him as the worst thing ever, and will move the goalposts so as to validate their claims of Trump being privy to some massive secret conspiracy.
In fact, this exact scenario has already begun. Just today, the New York Times, a classic leftist publication hiding behind the veneer of journalism, ran an opinion piece titled “We Don’t Need To Read The Mueller Report”. Why does the NYT think we don’t need to read it? Because, they write, no matter what it says in Mueller’s report, some of Trump’s campaign aides are in jail, and that proves that there was a sinister conspiracy afoot. The fact that activists working on behalf of the Trump campaign lied about various incidents that occurred during the campaign shows that there was some dark reason for them to do so. Therefore, there is no reason to even bother reading the report. This is the logic of the Times, and this is what we will see a whole lot of if Trump is cleared.
The complete hypocrisy of the Democrats and mainstream media when it comes to wrongdoing by members of specific political parties is breathtaking. For example, and not to beat a dead horse, Hillary Clinton is known to have lied about her emails. We know what she did wrong, but she is off the hook. Why? Because the media will whitewash and excuse away anything and everything done by politicians that conform to their agenda for a more liberal United States. If any Republican did what Hillary Clinton did, he or she would already be in prison. You know it, I know it, and the media knows it too.
If President Trump is cleared by Mueller’s report, watch what will happen afterwards. Watch how the Democrats, the media, and every Trump detractor will shift their stories, their claims and allegations against the president. And when they do so, keep in mind that there is one person who has already been proven to have broken the law and that they don’t care about: Hillary Rodham Clinton.
