  1. So sad. I dont know where to start; Who leaves $500 where a kid can get to it ? Who leaves a shredder around the house ? What else is he shredding ?
Does it count as maaser ?
    I feel terrible

  2. There is a government agency that will try to verify the amount destroyed and send you a check. you send the shredded money in.

Us bureau of engraving and printing – check the website

  3. I once read there is a department in the US government that will give you back your money as long as they can piece it together. People who had fires and money was pretty badly burned still got most of their money back. So he should definitely look into it.

  4. If the father sends the shredded money to the Bureau of Printing and Engraving, I think they will replace it for him. There is a department they have that deals with situations such as this.

  5. i know the person personally And the mother was counting the money ance the boy took one of the envelopes off the counter the mother only realized when the boy came to tell guess his mother with proudness!! the room is usually locked it was by mistake left opened that day
