Tomorrow, March 26, crews will begin construction on Ridge Avenue between New Hampshire Avenue and County Line Road.
A new bridge is being constructed, and a new traffic light is being installed.
There will be alternating traffic for the duration of the project, which is expected to last approximately three months.
Oh boy!!! This is gonna be fun- not!
Just throw rush hour into the mix and it will be H-City!
Maybe they could work early morn then take a break for morning rush hour and then resume their work. Or work 7 pm to 7 am. Otherwise yeah it’s going to be really bad. But looking forward to the results! Needed big time. Hope somerset and Ridge traffic light is next.
If they are replacing the bridge they are likely demolishing it one half at a time and rebuilding it. So there will physically be only one lane available to get by.
I hope 3 months means 3 months and not a year long marathon like the work on Sunset!
How can we get sidewalks there also?
Wondering if we will be able to make a left off New Hampshire into Ridge?? Also, a right off Ridge onto New Hampshire???
Anyone?
I never noticed a bridge at that intersection. Will it look like the Verrazano Brridge? Will there be a Toll Charge?
Hey Planning Board, NOW is the time to widen the street(before the builders move in) and add sidewalks and left turn lane.
