  1. #2,
    Good point.
Mazel Tov to Mrs. Langert who is one of the less known Goimlei Chesed in Lakewood. Definitely her chesed was and is mashpia on the Bar Mitzvah boy.

  2. my wife & I are close personal friends of the Langerts. first I would like to say that Mrs. Langert’s chessed is unparalleled. she is forever donating her time, effort and her husband’s money to any organization that asks. secondly, and the main reason for my comments is to make people aware of how truly special our mayor is. He confided in me that they decided to invite not one guest other than the boys in the bar mitzvah boy’s class his rabbeim & immediate family. they did this in order to make sure that the focus of the simcha would be on their SON and not on them. We should all learn a lesson from this special family.

  3. The langerts are truly a shining example of chesed!the mayor and his wife are people we should all strive to emulate!!It was an understated yet a beautiful simcha in which the focus was YITZY LANGERT!!Anyone that “crashed” the simcha, be it a commitee man, rebbe or friend did so in honor of this special family, not because they were invited!!Mazaal tov and lots of nachas from your entire mishpacha!!

  4. I love going to vacht nacht seudos especially when I don’t know the guy. Everyone is so happy, there’s a hot buffet, no speeches, and best of all, no veiber fressing up all the sushi (there’s always sushi even though it’s mainly men because the mother wants a nice balebattishe spread). There’s some elegant fruit platters and some strange designer cakes, but no one looks at that stuff(no problem with bal tashchis–there’s a bris in the morning), as there is good kugel and kishke, a little chinese chicken, throw in a choluptshe or three and wash it down with a l’chaim… I could go on and on.
