Kimball Medical Center is looking for several volunteers to assist with some patient care services on the Nursing Units. Kimball Medical Center is an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System, the largest integrated health care delivery system in New Jersey. Located in Lakewood, Kimball Medical Center is a fully accredited, 350-bed facility offering the most advanced, ultra-modern diagnostic and treatment services. Volunteers are currently needed on all nursing units to assist with a variety of duties, some of which include working one-on-one with patients; assisting with and removing patient’s food trays; picking up and delivering mail; stocking supplies; filing paperwork; stuffing charts; passing ice water to patients; offering patients a listening ear or a warm blanket; and generally being a positive influence in the lives of many patients.
 
All volunteers at Kimball Medical Center are integral members of the healthcare team and active members of an extensive volunteer network.  Volunteer shifts are available Monday through Sunday from 8 am to Noon, Noon to 4 pm or from 4 to 8 pm.
