  1. “Where was this?” its the same story every time. If its not someone you know personaly its just another sad story. These stories are a message for all of us it doesn’t matter “where exactly it was” all those kind of questions are trying to distance ourselves from the story. Just assume it was a neighbor or friend. We are all areivim zeh lazeh.

  2. I know the family personally. To all those who are giving reasons such as “no more loshon horah or fighting” I ask you- Are you Hashem? Do you know why Hashem wanted this to happen? Every reason or excuse you offer rips into the heart of the family and all those that know them. We don’t know the ways of Hashem. We are not Nevi’im. Everyone be quiet and just offer your heartfelt condolences. That’s it!

  3. very sad; certainly a tremendously difficult time for the family.
we should only hear good news. may the family be given the proper strength to get through this painful period. simchas.

  4. my child id the same age. i cant even start to imagine what the parents are going through. may Hzshem guve them strength to recover.

  5. This is such terrible news!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t really sleep! Can we pppllleeeaaassseee get more info as soon as they can be released?!

  6. Yes, no one here is a Navi or the son of a Navi. However, how bright does someone have to be to see the machlokes that has been going on in Lakewood lately. All the lashon Harah. Wiping the floors with people, their families etc. Oh, of course all for frum reasons. The Chafetz Chaim says that one of the ways of punishment for community machlokes and lashon harah is that young children die. Yes, it is horrible to say but we all have to look in the mirror. It is our community. We have no insight into the ways of hashem as to why this family was chosen. We have to go one step further and say that we might have a very good reason why for multiple times we have been punished lately. It might be time to wake up and make some changes in the way we behave bein adom lachavero. The way we judge others. The way we gegrade others. It is so wrong. So immature. And now unfortunately deadly too. Let’s do something. My heart is breaking.

  7. When a tragedy of this magnitude hits us (us meaning klal yisroel) there’s always three things that must be addressed. The first to be ‘mishtatef ‘in the pain of another yid – one cannot imagine what this family is going through. And second to strengthen our ’emunah’ in H-shem and realize that after all is said, it only happened because that was the rotzoin of H-shem and its that simple. And thirdly one has to be very careful not to speak negative or badly about H-shem that how could he to this or even to say every day another tragedy or what’s next, as if to imply that all is bad and all is wrong c”v. Its a time like this that one has to remind oneself of all the ‘hatovah’ and all the chesed that H-shem does for all of us ALL the time. Gut Voch – my heart is aching for this mishpacha and all that they are going through

  8. Hashem is just and has His reason for everything. This pure Neshoma has fulfilled his obligation on earth. May we see Moshiach very soon.

  9. voice of reason- couldn’t havw said it better. Don’t excuse yourself from tshuva with lame excuses that there is no navi…. Do tshuva on what ANYONE mentions. Do tshuva on other things too.

  10. R”TL we should never know from such tragedy, my heart goes out to this family wherever they may be. but it may be a small comfort to try to remember that children who are niftar young are special nishamos that only needed a small tikkun before their precious soul gets recalled by the Ribono Shel Olam to sit under his Kisei Hakovod. their child was so very special to G-d that at a young age the child was recalled to it’s maker. Hamakom yinacheim escheim……

  11. Yes, Lakewood has problems but why is it that when something like this happens, people have to sit here and hem and haw about why it happen. It does not make the parents feel any better. This was a terrible tragedy and accident. Believe it or not, accidents happen. Even in times where people were able to bring sacrifices to atone for sins. When you say people need to do teshuva for a child choking on a sandwich, you are making the parents feel worse, like its their fault.

  12. Can you verify the levaya details. My inlaws from bklyn are being told by the stareshevsky that the levaya is at 10:00 at 7th and somerset.

  13. I disagree.Your words are nachmusa d’bovela. You may not know the specific reason, but the word “accident” makes the parents feel worse.

  14. Stop! this is a terrible tragedy! Stop writing your thoughts and chochmis! Many people including the Niftar’s family are reading this! STOP being insensitive! Just STOP!

  15. B.D.E. This is the second great grandchild of Reb Motel Katz ZTL from Telz in Cleveland to pass away at such a young age within the past 5 months (the other was Tress in South Fallsberg that was hit by a car just before Purim) Hashem should help this family they should only hear good news.

  16. Don’t EVER tell someone that suffered a loss of this magnitude that they are special, their baby is special, etc,.. and this is why it happened to them. No one wants to hear this at this time. All you can say is you’re so very sorry for their loss, and if you can’t do that, don’t say anything at all.

  17. all of the sudden everyone is a preacher of musser. after last child was lost r”l hatzolah was being bashed from all sides i.e. not enough members 2 hour response time etc. on this call I verified they arrived in less then one minute .where r all the hatzolah wanna bees singing Hatzolah praises saying oh ! iguess the response time is good enough & there are plenty of members avilable even in westgate.

  18. it seems like all the wrong doers and abusive people who it is justified to say lashon hora about use every tragidy to blame others for it. i think that the TLS editors should anly allow strict info and condolence to the faminly to go through as a consideration to the families plight , and not every meshuganas opinion.

  19. EVERYONE SHOULD PLEASE SAY HATZOLAH PHONE NUMBER ONCE A MONTH 10 TIMES IN A ROW.DURING THE CHOKING NUMEROUS PEOPLE COMPLETELY FORGOT HATZOLAH PHONE NUMBER.FOR PRCTICAL PURPOSES SAY EVERY ROSH CHODESH.

  20. I would seem that having Hatzolah’s phone number near all the phones and stored as a speed dial on cell phones would be a smart thing to do.
