[SHIVAH INFO] We regret to inform you of the Petirah of R’ Yehoshua Heshel Wolhendler Z’L, who was Niftar in Williamsburg over Shabbos, following an illness. R’ Yehoshua Heshel Z’L is the father of R’ Pinny and R’ Yoel of Lakewood. He was approximately 57.
The Levaya is taking place now at the Nanosh Shul in Williamsburg.

The niftar was a huge talmid chochom. I have known him for almost 10 years and always saw him with a sefer or talking in learning. He spent his last yomtov in lakewood and I was so amazed that a person with so much yesurim had such a strong willpower to live and be healthy. He asked all to daven for him but also had a long list of cholim that needed a yeshua. May he be a mailitz yosher on his family and they should bear no more tzar.

Pinny is one of the biggest Counselors and volunteers in Bonei Olam of Lakewood. He has been a shaliach tov to helping tens of Lakewood couples attaining their dreams. When he would visit his father in the hospital his father would tell him not to shmooze a lot to him rather he should medically guide all the couples that called him.

Rabbi Wohlhendler was a talmud of Rabbi Yonah Glauber a big marbots torah in the satmar yeshiva back in the 60`its interesting to note that rabbi yonah glaubers rebbetsin was also nifter this last shabbos she was 108 years old
My father was also a talmud from Reb Yona Glauber A/H and he told me that Reb Yona used to say that he prides himself with a talmud like reb yehoshua heshel and that he has a strong will to learn and a heart of gold at age 13 reb yehoshua was tested by reb yonah his rebbi in shisho sidra mishna and had every reference answered, Chaval al debadim velo mishtachvin
