Kimball Medical Center Names New Vice President Of Patient Care Services

Kimball Medical Center, a Barnabas Health facility, has named Judy Colorado as vice president of patient care services. As vice president of patient care services and a member of the senior leadership team, Colorado, of Holmdel, N.J., will oversee all nursing activities within the hospital. She will develop, define, plan, implement and evaluate the philosophy and objectives of Kimball’s Nursing Department to ensure efficient and therapeutically-effective nursing care to all patients.

“Colorado brings more than 25 years of progressive nursing experience to Kimball Medical Center, including 18 years spent in high-level leadership roles working in fast-paced and complex organizations”, Kimball said today.

Prior to joining Kimball, Colorado was the executive director of patient care services at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). She has also worked at St. Vincent’s Medical Center and New York University, Division of Nursing, both located in New York, and with Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Colorado earned a B.S. in nursing from Mary Johnston College of Nursing in Manila, Philippines. She received a Master’s degree in hospital/nursing administration from New York University in New York. Colorado received board certification as a nurse executive from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). TLS.
