Rabbi Meir Hertz Endorses Mund, Schwartz & Silver – Letter Retracting Endorsement Is Fake

Rabbi Meir Hertz of ‘Ichud Hamosdos’ has endorsed Mund, Schwartz & Silver for the Board Of Education seats. Additionally, Rabbi Hertz released the following statement in regards to fake signs which were hung up around town claiming he retracted his endorsement:

“It has come to my attention that there is a fraudulent poster circulating that I have retracted my endorsement of candidates Schwartz, Silver, and Mund. This couldn’t be further from the truth.”

“They have ‘produced’ a fake “retraction” of my strong endorsement of Silver, Schwartz and Mund. Don’t be fooled. They know this election can change the landscape of the BOE.”

“Please go out and vote for Yoni Silver, Joel Schwartz and Lee Mund (#s 1-2-3). It’s really as simple as 1-2-3! Our children are counting on YOU.”

(Attached is photo of volunteers taking down the fake ‘retraction’ letter).

Hey.. If TLS were truly a “Neutral” site, he would state at the BEGINNING of this Ad that “THE BELOW IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT”

That is the way true and unbiased news-collecting sites do it. Why wait till the end and have people thinking till that point that this was unpaid for???

  • Disturbed says:

Who would do something like that?!? I thought this election was about a kiddush hashem

  • get it right says:

    its disgusting but perhaps expected.

let the truth prevail first let it be known!

dont hide the truth or distort the truth to create the image of your agenda.

Just a simple statement ….. a democracy means the right to vote for who you feel is the best candidate for the job in your own opinion ….. I must ask are we in this town following the democracy we have in this country or are we like a heard of sheep just doing what we are told to do ? Just because a certain person or persons voice they like certain people ….. does that mean we all must vote for them ?

  • THE LKWD Knight says:

I for one say Yoni Silver is a HUGE mentch and has worked tirelessly to save the taxpayers. I just want to point out if you live in Lakewood that means he works for you. GO YONI SILVER!!

  • i'm so happy says:

paid or not, i am happy the scoop is whereone can turn for the truth. fake letters and posters? that’s just as fraudulent as those collectors dressing up like Yidden. all involved should be ashamed. i highly doubt that a posek was consulted…

  • Bill Hobday says:

Rabbi Hertz is a good and decent person, who looks out for all of the students in the Lakewood School District.

The good Rabbi is right on target for his endorsement of Misters Silver, Schwartz, and Mund.

I will vote for the first three names on the ballot. Anyone attempting to defraud the public by putting a fake sign up to confuse people for a vote in their favor DOES NOT DESERVE my vote!!! I will vote G_d willing for Schwartz, Silver, and Mund. I don’t care if the above was a paid advertisement. I appreciate letting me know. I don’t want to vote for any part of it.

  • fred says:

  • resident says says:

    # 29, the boom hit, Lakewood is a new town do to last nights election. Now all the Mosdes will be treated fairly, not by favor but for all the children of Lakewood.
The public schools will get the much needed help in technology, vacational training to further a childs need once they graduate.
Let’s be honest, not every child goes to college, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be trained to enter the working population
