State Police To Assist Local Police Departments With Fighting Gangs

With 225 new State Troopers on the force, the NJSP will begin directing some of their resources to help local police departments fighting gangs, Assembly Republican Budget Officer Declan O’Scanlon, (R-Monmouth), said today.

“The State Police have been locking up violent criminals and gang members in an effort to help local police in urban areas”, O’Scanlon said today in response to budget testimony by Attorney General Jeffrey S. Chiesa. “That effort will continue this year as 225 new Troopers are added to the force and the Department begins a new initiative targeting dangerous gangs that have infiltrated New Jersey cities and suburbs.” TLS.

  1. how about the liberal judges start by actually LOCKING UP the dirtballs the police have to bring in to face the court.

and the law makers can start assisting by actually facing crime head on and creating hard sentences for criminals(not just gang members) and watch the criminals run from NJ faster than a race-dog.

whats the point of hiring police officers to risk life & limb to arrest and bring in these dirtbags, for the judge to only allow them to walk out with probation, a fine, or some other silly “punishment” that will be ignored and then maybe rearrested only to face a 2nd chance to not do as told – to only waste more police man hours.

  2. Hope they don’t plan on starting to pull over everyone driving over the speed limit. That’s not the gang activity they are being sent here to fight.

  3. Great idea but the last time the state troopers came to town to “fight gangs ” all they did was give out tickets for minor traffic infarcsions

  4. Great !
Now we will have the state troopers {again} sitting on Park ave issuing nuisance tickets to everybody, while officially fighting gangs.
