LTMUA: All Water Is Safe To Drink; No Boil Water Advisory In Effect

Hurricane Sandy has caused untold damage across the eastern seaboard of the United States, especially here in New Jersey. While this is a trying time for all of us, the Lakewood Township Municipal Utilities Authority would like to report that all water from the LTMUA has been and remains safe to drink. There is no boil water advisory for customers of the LTMUA.

“We urge customers to conserve water, as always”, said Justin Flancbaum, Executive Director of the LTMUA. “However, our operators and field staff have been working around the clock to ensure that all of our water is safe and clean, and there are no problems to report at this time.”

“We urge anyone who is available to help others to participate in this program, or help others as they may need it in your local community. The Christie Administration has set up a volunteer emergency response hotline – anyone who would like to volunteer helping others recover from the storm is asked to call 1-800-JERSEY-7”. TLS.
