VIDEO: What started out as an ordinary work morning at the oorah kars4kids Lakewood office quickly took an electrifying turn when lightning struck the building.
“There was a loud blast and all the lights went out,” said one employee.
Surveillance video from within the Industrial Park building shows the lightning touching down.
Nobody was injured, but an interior wall and part of a ceiling were damaged.
The fire department arrived within minutes and power was restored shortly as well. [TLS]
why don’t PD have to wear helmets when entering unsafe structures?
This is stupid, the video doesn’t show anything.
Is everyone okay?
Are u implying that its not a safe structure?
How do you know if it is unsafe #1. Did all that were in the building put their helmits on also. Use some common sense. O, I forgot. We do not have any common sense in this town.
Yes, B”H everyone is ok.
No one was hurt. Minor damage to the wall and wires on the roof.
Unbelievable what Oorah would do to get in the news…
Apparently nobody knows how to spell, either
#5 I happen to be from Vermont I am a Police captain we require all officers to enter any structure hit with lighting wearing helmets
I’m sure Fiveish will be making the most of this situation.
