  1. Never heard of the police actually investigating identity theft… They usually just tell you to cancel your cards, and oh well too bad for you. This must be a relative of a cop or something. Hope they catch the thieves.

  2. Stop cop-bashing.

THey are investigating 1) the burglary, 2) the identity theft, and 3) the fraudulent use of the credit card.

  3. @moishe, I’m sorry the truth is cop bashing to you. I personally, and many I know have been victims of identity theft in the past and law enforcement really don’t usually care. They seemed annoyed to take my report, and even though I knew who took my card and had evidence, they never pursued it at all and tried to blame me for not being vigilant enough about guarding my stuff. I also had this experience when I was the victim of a hit and run in brick (traffic and security cameras everywhere in a busy intersection), and when my car was broken into. It’s easy to say “stop cop bashing” when you’ve never needed the police for anything.

  4. @ Mark , I still stand by my comment. I’ve been the victim of property crimes other than identity theft as well and never had police actually do anything other than take a report and tell me how it was my fault. Everyone stands up for the police, until they need them.

  5. Sunshine, i think you are confused- everyone stands up for the police BECAUSE they are there when we need them. Sorry you’re so bitter.

  6. Boy Sunshine, you sure have a lot of problems that need Police attention. Maybe just maybe it is your fault. They have ALWAYS helped me and many I know. Also, if you are telling the truth, why not use your real name?
