Deputy Mayor Akerman Expected to Serve as 2015 Mayor; Miller as Deputy Mayor

akerman swearing in tlsCurrent Deputy Mayor Albert Akerman is expected to serve as Lakewood’s 2015 Mayor, and the current Mayor is expected to serve as Deputy Mayor.

Current Mayor Menashe Miller served as Lakewood’s Mayor during 2011 and 2012. Akerman served as Mayor last year.

Newly-elected Township Committeeman Mike D’elia (R) will also be sworn in this year, replacing Committeeman Langert.

The Committee once again consists of three Republicans and two Democrats. Menashe Miller, Albert Akerman and Committeeman-elect Mike D’Elia are Republicans, while Meir Lichtenstein and Ray Coles are Democrats.

The reorganization meeting will be held in the first week of January.
