Youth Mental Health First Aid classes being offered by Mental Health Association of O.C.

MHANJThe Mental Health Association – Ocean County is offering classes on Youth Mental Health First Aid.

Topics include: assisting a youth in crisis; identifying the risk factors and warning signs for anxiety, depression, eating disorders, ADHD, substance abuse; and distinguishing typical adolescent behavior from behaviors of concern. Local resources provided.

The classes are geared for parents, caregivers and professionals who work with youth ages 12 to 18.

These grant-funded classes will be offered in two parts: Monday, Feb. 9, 1 pm to 5:15 pm and Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1 pm to 5:15 pm at the Mental Health Association Ocean County Offices 226 Route 37 West, Toms River NJ Unit 14.
