UPDATED: The Fulton Bank in Lakewood was robbed this morning, and the suspect was apprehended moments after the robbery, officials say.
The masked suspect walked into the Kennedy Boulevard bank shortly after 10 AM and demanded cash. A handgun was reportedly shown.
He then fled the bank in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash. Witnesses however were able to provide police with a description of the suspect and his getaway vehicle.
Moments later, after an alert went out to neighboring departments, a Brick Police officer spotted the vehicle.
After several backup units arrived, a High Risk Traffic Stop was conducted, and the suspect was apprehended. He was identified as 46 year-old Howard Altman of Point Pleasant.
The plaza reportedly also contained a bank, but it’s unknown if he was attempting to rob that bank too.
Lakewood’s Detectives Bureau and CSI are investigating.

Great Job, once again, LPD. I wonder if its the same guy who robbed the bank On Shorrock Rd a few days ago. And, Suri, that was a rude, nasty, post. And ur name isnt Suri. Doesnt even rhyme with Suri.
Nothing wrong with suris post regardless of what his name really is
Your article states that Lakewood PD caught this guy. I saw it happen and it was Brick PD that found this guy and locked him up.. I think it was a Sgt from their Traffic Unit.
Good Job Brick PD
