The Municipal Utilities Authority will begin their annual water flushing today. The flushing will begin continue through the end of May.
The MUA’s Executive Director Justin Flancbaum told TLS the water company postponed the flushing until after Pesach in order not to affect customers’ water during Yom Tov.
During the flushing, customers may experience some discoloration of their water. Should this occur, users should run their cold water later in the day until it clears.
You may also notice a temporary decrease in water pressure during this period.
If you are planning to replace your water filter, you should wait until after the flushing has been completed.
