An ATV rider was severally injured in an accident which left the ATV overturned, officials said.
The two-vehicle crash occurred around 2:30 PM at the intersection of Central Avenue and Miller Road.
Upon arrival, Hatzolah personnel found the vehicle upside down, and its rider laying unconscious on the street nearby, witnesses tell TLS.
The rider was treated by Hatzolah paramedics and then transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with severe trauma.
The other driver was not injured, an official said.

Is it even legal to ride an ATV on the street?
No it is not legal to ride an ATV on the street but then neither is talking on a cell phone, texting or passing over a double yellow line but all of these things are done daily in Lakewood.
Hey “fed up” all those illegal activities you described happen on a daily basis in almost every large town and city in America. No reason to gratuitously hate on Lakewood.
Shortly before 2:30 yesterday i was driving down Cedarbridge and had to short stop/swerve out of the way to avoid colliding with a red ATV that was crossing the street darting through traffic. I feel terrible for the driver that wasnt as lucky as I was!
