Tonight will mark the first yurtzeit of the Bluzever Rebbe Zt”l, Grand Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda Spira, son of the Bluzever Rebbe Grand Rabbi Yisroel Spira Zt”l. The bluzever rebbe was niftar one year ago on erev Shabbas Koidesh Parshas Buluk the 16th day of Tamuz, by chatzos. The levaya took place in Brooklyn in the Bluzever Bais Hamedrash and then in Eretz Yisroel in Yerushalayim. The Rebbe was brought to kevurah on Har Hazeisim next to his father the Bluzever Rebbe Zt”l.

The Rebbe Zt”l was born in Berlin, Germany erev Rosh Chodesh Av in the year 1936. The Rebbe Zt”l survived the Holocaust with great mesiras nefesh and Bitochon. Along with his great father, they rebuild the Bluzever Chassidus in America after the war. In 1989, the Rebbe Zt”l’s father was niftar, leaving the responsibility of continuing the Bluzever Dynasty on his shoulders. For almost 26 years, the Rebbe was a father to all the bluzever chassiddim and a leader for all of Klal Yisroel. With tremendous ahava and warmth, the Rebbe devoted himself completely to his kehilla. After 3 years of yesurim and pain, the Rebbe Zt”l was niftar which was a tremendous loss for Klal Yisroel.

The rebbe Zt”l’s son Grand Rabbi Moshe Menachem Spira Shlit”a who succeeded his father as the Bluzever Rebbe Shlit”a will be visiting Lakewood in honor of the his father’s first yurtzeit. A seuda will be held this Thursday night in Yeshiva Sha’ar Hatorah 360 Ridge Ave, following maariv at 9:25 p.m.. May the Rebbe Zt”l be a Melitz Yosher for all of us and for all of Klal Yisroel.
