As first reported last night, the Lil Wayne ‘Adventure in the Park’ concert which was set to take place in Lakewood this weekend, has been cancelled.
The Township today sent the following letter to the stadium and event coordinators.

Sure this has to do with the storm and nothing to do with the complaints about the last weekend’s music festival.

Why would they cancel the concert? Because certain people didn’t want to hear noise complaints?
Because of the storm!? Yeah right, you guys just didn’t want us having it.

It is strange that they cancelled for the storm that isn’t happening but you’re right. Those of us who had our children awake at midnight because of the rock band do not want this concert! All towns have noise restrictions and it was unacceptable. Either work it out to end at a decent time or be quieter. It wasnt fake!
That sounds like a personal issue. Everyone has their own likes but that’s not fair to have it taken away from people who spent money to see these artists. No one told you to live close to a baseball stadium.
