The Jackson Planning Board this evening will hear an application for a Shul in the Township.Kolel Shas Yiden applied to the Jackson Township Planning Board for preliminary and final major site plan for a conditional use in the RG-2 Regional Growth Zone to construct a two-story Shul containing 21,165 square feet, on a 3.75 acre piece of land located on the westerly side of East Veterans Highway south of Grand Blvd.
A house of worship is a conditional use and the application meets all of its conditions, cording to the application.
There are approximately 500 Frum families living in Jackson today.

While an approval will be a huge step in the right direction for the orthodox community in Jackson, this project is quite far from the current neighborhoods that the hidden currently reside in.
The shul is for the Vien Kehila moving into Jackson in Grand Ave next to the Jackson police station
