UPDATE: Verizon Wireless made aware of recent issues in and around Lakewood

In an ongoing effort to resolve the recent decline in Verizon Wireless service for thousands of users in and around Lakewood, TLS has once again reached out to the company – this time to Verizon’s Corporate Department to try and escalate the matter.

Verizon took the matter quite seriously, especially after viewing the two recent articles on TheLakewoodScoop.com (Here and Here). They actually read through our readers’ comments with our reporter on the phone, and called an impromptu meeting with their IT Department.

They also noted that there are a couple of dozen tickets open for our area and this remains a top priority.

While they are looking in to the matter, they also advised that users can dial ### (and then talk) to flag a previous call that was dropped or choppy. This will document and create a pattern for them to review and open a ticket if necessary.

Be advised, that when dialing ### you will get a “call cannot be completed as dialed” message, but Verizon will still see it as flagged.

  2. Thank you so much for stepping up and always being our voice. I have Verizon for years and years. The service has always been spotty and in our busy Lives who has time to change services. Thanks to you, hopefully something will be done!!!

  3. For now the only think that will keep me with Verizon will be if they lower our plans. I had enough! I spent hours on the phone with them and felt really abused by their customer service.

  4. They once told me I have to update my software. They made me delete all my info and Phone still didn’t work and lost all my data.

It would be great to not use cell phones, but that is not practical in this day and age. Even if you were to eschew having one, you would still be exposed to cell tower radiation since the towers are sending a signal approx. every 2 seconds searching for phones to serve. If you want to use one, always put it on speaker and keep it at least 6-8 inches away from your ear [as the radiation from using a cell phone is far greater than from the towers, as it is close]. If you carry it on your body, put it in airplane mode so you are not exposing your heart, groin, etc. to EMF. Same for women – do not carry them in purses next to the body or, especially, near babies. Children should NOT be using cell phones. Cordless phones are like having a cell tower in your house [as the base gives out a signal the entire time – so that one would know if the cordless is out of range; and the radiation is similar to that of cell-phones]. Not advised. If you can still install a wired landline, that is the way to go.
