If you’re traveling the I-80 between Cleveland and New York this Thursday, you will once again be able to enjoy a free Kosher barbecue on the way.
The Annual I80 BBQ in conjunction with Bikur Cholim of Cleveland is kicking off its fifth year and will be held at the FLYING J, located right off Exit 173 on Interstate 80 in Lamar, PA, between 1-9 pm, No reservations are needed.
The barbecue is free of charge although donations are encouraged. All contributions will benefit Bikur Cholim of Cleveland, helping hundreds of families.
In previous years, the barbecue was attended by thousands of people whose pre-Pesach travels were enhanced by countless Minyanim for mincha and delicious food.
For any questions, feel free to reach out to 216-644-4704. We look forward to seeing you there!

Bring your own just in case
And the negativity begins…
I’m not be negative I’m just saying if that guy wants to make fun that they won’t have let him bring his own
Frankly, I’m checking my gps to see the distance from lakewood. Maybe it’ll make nice trip. Head out yhere. Enjoy a festive BBQ and cruise back to lakewood.
What do you the idea, folks.
Thank you Cleveland again for this amazing chessed! On behalf of your neighbors to the west (who have a much longer drive?)
@Trucker, are you serious????? Whats your damage?
I believe this event is an extremely important chesed, it was beautiful every year, thank you to all those that make it happen.
However once it’s being done it is important that they don’t run out of food since people are really counting on it
Dear trucker, go fill up on diesel and go get a job instead of bashing a great chessed going on…
Perhaps they should make a rsvp to estimate how many people coming
Iyh there will be enough food this year, thank you to the lkwd scoop for advertising from year after year…
It is indeed important that they don’t run out of food.
Trucker, please pick up a case of hot dogs and drop it off when you pass by. That way they won’t run out of them.
Desler is the man behind the scenes and he’s a rock star !
Shuey cohn (who arranges the bbq) is a yid ah tzadik, always doing lmaan haklal vhaprat. We should all take a lesson from his tzidkus . It’s kdai for everyone to travel to Lamar PA just to get a glimpse of this Adam gadol, and to learn from his ways.
A special thank you to someone that started the idea and pays for it. Your name isn’t mentioned anywhere, but you know who you are. May hashem pay you back for everything you do for the klal.
Shout out to Archie, manager of the flying j, please thank him if you stop by
A special thank you to Eliyahu Spilman for arranging the whole bbq And not taking credit for anything he does
