A fire severely damaged a Lakewood home this morning.

The fire broke out at the First Street home approximately 8:50AM.

Upon arrival, firefighters found flames coming from the home. All occupants, and dogs, reportedly made it out safely.

Fire Units from Brick, Toms River and Jackson assisted with operations on scene, and to standby for additional calls in the town.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Fire Marshal’s office.
