The above comment was among those posted on the Facebook page of Ed Bannon, a member of Jackson’s Rent Control Board. The post discussed the legal action – as reported exclusively by TLS – taken by Rabbi Philip Lefkowitz against the Westlake Golf and Country Club in Jackson for allegedly failing to reasonably accommodate his disabilities and religious needs. The death threat was penned by Dennis McCloud of South Amboy, NJ, a retired ironworker and former member of South Amboy First Aid Squad.
“There should be no tolerance for any hate on social media, but a direct threat of violence towards a particular individual is a whole other level,” one askan tells TLS. “We are in contact with the relevant law enforcement agencies and they are investigating the matter. No one deserves to live in fear.”

Who has all this time to troll on facebook? Granted folks say all kinds of craziness that is not right. Yet it takes a lot of time to troll. Must be a new job I am unaware of cause I would need to get paid to go thru the hassle of looking thru everyone’s posts.
This fellow needs to be charged and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The anti-Semitism in this area is at an all time high. I disagree with your heading , which while it may be factual iit is misleading . Yes Ed Bannon is a Jackson resident but it is his own page and not considered a Jackson page. Yes it is very troubling to see Mr Bannon being friends with such sick and evil people and I believe that he should denounce such friendships. In addition after reading his page ( which is wide open ) I notice that he has a pattern of stirring the pot and getting people worked up. Completely legal but wrong for a board member of a diverse town. Lets hope Mr Bannon denounces his friend and shows what true men are made of.
Sick. The thing that bothers me the most is the ignorance of some these account holders or page administrators. By allowing this hate they are not just innocent bystanders. They are guilty by association. The same goes for the people that comment on these posts and ignore the hate.
Similar to the recent OPRA releases where Jackson council members received openly hateful emails and choose to respond to these emails and totally ignore the hate. Sick twisted individuals.

In yiddish they say, the stupid person says what the smart person thinks, case in point when such a comment is posted its usualy the thoughts of alot of ppl that are just smarter and more politicaly corect, and by not calling it out for what it really is, it becomes more acceptable even for reg ppl to talk/hate like this,
For the record- I’m not suing anyone. If you read my attorney’s letter to Wesrlake he merely clarified that my requests were in accord with Westllake’s rules including FHA requirements to which Westlake is required to comply.
