Today, at the Office of Administrative Law (OAL), General Counsel Michael Inzelbuch will join Arthur Lang and will ask Administrative Law Judge Susan Scarola to make a factual determination that based on the $46 million dollars of loans –not grants – that need to be repaid that Lakewood schools are unable to provide its students with a “thorough and efficient education.”
He will also point out that the rapidly declining Title 1 funding for public kids, and the latest State Budget that has cut $1.5 million dollars from the Budget after the recent loan and local Budget option, has thrown the school district in to uncertainty.
“Aaron (Arthur) Lang is a real hero here in Lakewood,” said Rabbi Moshe Zev Weisberg. “He has invested hundreds of personal hours and all his Koachos and skill to fight for all the children of Lakewood, public and non-public alike, and all this with no personal financial remuneration. Let’s be Mispallel that he be the right Shaliach Tzibbur in this righteous battle for fairness and equality in State school funding.”
Three buses of public and nonpublic students and Administrators headed from Lakewood.
We can pay it back with the money we make selling the fruit from the new trees at the Middle School.
Achdus!
Just borrow more money from the State to repay previous loans.
They’ll do it!
We’ll forsure do it again!
Again!!!??
What’s the point in the children being present?
Long overdue thanks and appreciation to Arthur Lang, who has been fighting this battle, on behalf of Lakewood taxpayers and students, on his own, for a while.
