    • You don’t have to be on time to day camp if you think conditions are dangerous. (That applies even to school) If your schedule permits, just leave the house when conditions improve or don’t go out at all. I don’t think the day camp will deduct points…

  1. In neighborhoods that are prone to flooding, can’t something be done about the drainage? B”H in the many years I have lived in Lakewood my street never got flooded

  2. yep, and we have to send people in to help you get out of your car after you oknowing drive into this type of water. you should be made to sit and wait or get wet yourself

  3. It’s true use common sense you even see water covering tires of cars parked don’t think you can drive though water floods like this unless you have 4×4

    • 4×4 isn’t going to help you. If water is above your muffler, as soon as you take you foot off the gas, water will be sucked into the exhaust and flood the engine. If you keep your foot on the gas, and water is not high enough to reach your engine, you may be OK.

  4. Huh? What’s building gotta do with flooding? The rain comes down the same hard, and the streets get flooded the same way whether there are 5 houses or 20 houses per block. There’s no discrimination between overbuilt and under-built locations when it comes to the rain!

    • Any area covered by a structure makes that area unable to absorb the water coming down, so it spreads out instead. The now smaller open areas may not be able to absorb that water as quickly as it is coming down and so you get flooding.

  5. People are told over and over again not to drive through flooded areas but they still insist on doing it.
Listen to the professionals, then no one will have to put their lives in danger because of your ignorance.
