  1. We all know that. No arguments . Question was , when is NOT declared outbreak by AUTHORITIES ( not doctors ) , should be legally school send this children home .

  2. This is really making the hanhalos crazy. First excluded, then ochd said no need to so included them again, and now exclude????? This is enough to.make everyone nuts!

  3. Please note that the text just above the highlighted area clearly indicates that religious affiliated schools may withhold or grant religious exemption. Schools are therefore not obligated to honor them. It is not just during an outbreak of vaccine preventable disease.

  4. My kids are in tashbar and bais faiga. I just spoke with 15 other parents in each child’s class. We are all keeping our kids home until they in force this. I encourage all others (in all schools) to organize the same!

  5. confused,
according to nj law, a religious exemption does not need to specify what religion, and why. doesn’t need to specify in what way religion is against it. This is why it’s so much easier to get a religious exemption in nj than in ny.

  6. Can anyone confirm this letter is an official statement from the OCHD? I can’t find anything on their website since 11/8 update, where they stated ‘those children involved with a confirmed case may be subject to an order of exclusion’

  7. Hmmmm, says in OCHD statement that that at time of breakout, a school may exclude children with religious OR medical exemption. Of course, at time of outbreak, any unvaccinated child may be a threat.

Wondering if schools are going to send home ALL unvaccinated children…

If they don’t exclude the unvaccinated-for-medical-reasons as well, then they are not really following the Highly Encouragement of the OCHD.
