A Frum Lakewood resident was hospitalized this evening after an apparent random assault, TLS has learned.

At approximately 4:30 PM, LCSW received a call about a suspicious – and possibly intoxicated -person walking in the Manetta Avenue area. A short time later, they received another call reporting an assault and requested Hatzolah and Police.

Police quickly arrived and located a suspect, placing him under arrest.

The victim was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with facial injuries, a source said.

Lakewood’s Detective Bureau is investigating.
