Something is seriously wrong with this city. Barely a day goes by that there isn’t a catastrophic accident, and we have become numb to it. Its not normal, and we should not accept it.

    • harv says:

completely agree. I recently moved from bklyn and have seen more MAJOR accidents here than in my entire life in bklyn!

    • Jim Doyle says:

Don’t blame the City—-It’s the speed and people not driving defensively—They don’t get the “BIG PICTURE” or keep the SHIELD OF DEFENSE;;;;What ever happened to the “3 Second Rule”??????????????

  • Nick says:

They need to put up one of the lighted signs reminding people no left turn onto 70.

  • Sam says:

That’s the third time in a month that traffic light came down at that intersection.

  • Blame game says:

We can blame the speed limit. We can blame the intersection. We can blame the weather. We can blame other drivers.
But Its time to take responsibility for our actions and know that we are accountable for what we do
We only get to live once, and I think people forget that
When I see pics of all the horrible accidents around Lakewood or when I see them as I drive (which is too often) I thank God for protecting me and watching over me.

Totally agree. It seems that every day in Lakewood another car is flipped over. Don’t hear about this anywhere else. What’s going on in this town? That being said, I pray everyone is OK.

  • Bob says:

Speed is the cause some of the motorists drive at speeds of 65-70 on the road and if your doing the speed limit they drive right up to your bumper it pisses me off

  • Lisbeth Flores says:

The problem here is the drivers that don’t care. PEOPLE driving carelessly and with the mother trucking PHONE IN THEIR HANDS!!!! Stop putting other people in danger😡Put the freaking phones down and pay attention!! RESPECT THE SPEED AND RESPECT LIFE PERIOD!!! I can’t even count how many times I have seen people with their phones in their hands completely looking down laughing🤔and having a great time😡while I’m in my car with my kids😒🤷🏻‍♀️

  • Barbara Burns says:

people almost every day make left turns at New Hampshire and route 70and speed right through the light even though it is red. They also do not know what a yield sign means they will cut you off without thinking twice about it. Maybe we need the police to start giving out tickets for these very careless drivers at this intersection it is a very bad intersection.
