A Lakewood home was destroyed in a blaze this evening, leaving the family homeless.
The fire at the Gudz Road home broke out around 7:45 PM.
Dozens of firefighters battled the blaze, and brought the fire under control by approximately 8:30 PM.
A firefighter was injured at the scene and was treated by EMS.
The family of eight were assisted by the management company and OEM and found a temporary home.
The Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
