NY Assembly Member Walter Mosley condemns local anti-Semitic group

Walter Mosley, an Assembly member in New York, made the following statement in regards to the local anti-Semitic group Rise Up Ocean County.

“Having seen the initial trailers to the OC2030 documentary scheduled to come out shortly I am utterly disgusted with its shameless and incendiary distortion of the treasured Martin Niemoller quote by the films narrator,” she wrote.

“This specific behavior in and of itself demonstrates the ideology behind this effort by Rise Up Ocean County to be one embedded with anti- Semitic narratives. As a society – we can and should rise up – to stop perpetuating the usage of our our voices for hate.”

Last week, the Lakewood Township condemned the group, signing a resolution against it. A similar resolution is being proposed to Jackson and Toms River counsels.
