Wondering about those in-ground Pushkas around Lakewood? (PHOTOS)

If you’ve been outside today, you may have noticed the transformation of the Four Corner cafe of Lakewood, as well as other mysterious locations, into a larger-than-life Tzedaka box.

A walk into one of the Four Corners locations will lead you to a sewer lid that appears to be the top of a pushka. You will also notice hundreds of car gas tanks turned into rolling tzedakah boxes.

Charidy pushkas are appearing in more places than you can count, all with a uniform message: A pushka can be anywhere.

Charidy, an online crowdfunding platform and fundraising consulting company has over 60 employees in 12 cities across the globe. Lakewood was one of the founding communities of Charidy, with Lakewood’a very own Local, Menachem Siegel (pictured), at the helm. After years of continued growth, the company is now embarking on their most ambitious goal yet; daily giving.

In a groundbreaking leap for its community of givers, Charidy is poised to launch it’s new app. The app will enable individuals, passionate about making a difference in the world, to make daily gifts, set up recurring donations, store all receipts, and enjoy additional features that will enhance the everyday giving experience.

Perhaps the most significant feature is the main dashboard where donors can see the ongoing impact they are making―a glance at all of their giving. “The app is not only creating new and exciting opportunities for giving to charity, it will also solve a problem with communities that are privy to many Charidy campaigns,” explains Siegel.

“We all get many Charidy solicitations, it’s become part of our culture. But without having a real-time overview of how much you’ve actually given that month, the constant campaigning can be frustrating,” he adds. “Not because we aren’t givers, on the contrary, it’s because we want to give, but we also don’t want to be irresponsible and give more than we’re capable of.”

The app aims to solve this problem by giving every donor a daily, monthly and annual review of their contributions. Similar to popular banking or money management apps, the Charidy app facilitates responsible and sustainable giving―no matter your budget.

The app currently hosts all organizations that have run campaigns with Charidy, streamlining the process of finding the causes that matter most to its donors.

Charidy is not charging any additional service fees for donating through the app. Standard credit card processing fees still apply.

For a limited time only, anyone who downloads the Charidy app will get a FREE on-site-freshly-baked donut from the Four Corners store – with a minimum $1 purchase. Just show the cashier the app on your phone.

The partnership with Four Corners symbolizes that Charidy can be given anytime anywhere – from all corners of the world!
