Lakewood resident Moshe Raitzik has entered the race for Township Committee, running on the Democratic ticket.
Raitzik, 42, who ran in prior years as a running mate of current Mayor Ray Coles, will be running as the only Democrat against incumbent Republican Albert Akerman.
“I’m looking forward to representing all the people of Lakewood,” Raitzik told TLS.
The deadline to file was today.
Raitzik, who ran four times as a running mate, served on the Board of Education in 2017, and currently serves as a teacher in both Mekor Hatorah and Shagas Aryeh.
The candidate also currently serves on the Shade Tree Commission and Municipal Alliance.
The Primaries take place in June, and the General Election in November.
This is his 4th time running. He was Ray’s running mate in 2011, 2014, and 2017, and was written-in for BOE in November of 2016 for a one year term. He’s also served the community as a Lakewood Utilities Advisory Committee member, a Rent Control Board member, and also was on the LCSW patrol for a number of years.
Much hatzlocha!!
TLS should host a live debate between the candidates, this way we can know who and what we are voting for!!!
Ratitzik is a great guy but I feel not a good ideal to run against another yid for many reasons
Dream on.
How anyone can be a Democrat in this day and age I have no idea.
Democrats are the anti religious freedom party.
