In a stunning expose, a new legal action filed last night, Jackson officials were alleged to have engaged in deep-seated, ongoing, and focused conspiracy to prevent Orthodox Jews from moving to Jackson and to make life uncomfortable for the Jews who live there.
The charges allege that Reina, Nixon and other officials engaged in rank anti-Semitic actions, both as public officials and as private citizens in repeated efforts to keep Jews out.
Actions by Reina and Nixon, previously first exposed by TLS reporting, include harassment, efforts to stop Jews from building Sukkahs, to ban Yeshivos, and include apparently illegal spying on private citizens in their home.
The charges note that Nixon and Reina falsely conveyed to the Federal Judge that they were sincerely mediating Shuls, Sukkahs, Eruvs and Schools, when in fact they were conspiring with Jackson Strong to keep Jews out.
The filing notes that both went far beyond their official duties in their discriminatory actions and shared that Jackson is still under an active Justice Department investigation for bias. It also discloses again that Jackson officials tried to illegally destroy evidence. The action asks for relief and punitive punishments as a deterrent to such malicious hate.
The legal action also notes how Jackson officials had one harsh set for rules for Jews and another gentle one for non-Jews, the exact opposite of the repeated anti-Semitic false canard that Jews get special “easy treatment.”
The filing is certain to put Toms River officials on notice for their own illegal and discriminatory actions against Jews, including the ridiculous and laughable 10 acre requirement for Shuls that Toms River recently enacted.
Nixon is a statewide representative of the PBA. His proactive role in pushing hate can only undermine law enforcement efforts statewide, destroying trust between minority communities across our diverse state and police. Nixon is not a police officer and never has been, and likely was appointed to that position through what may be shadowy political connections, the same connections that appointed his co-conspirator, Reina, as Bridge Inspector for Ocean County, another unusual appointment for someone with no engineering degree or background.
Nixon teaches “Good Government at University of Pennsylvania,” while turning dirty political tricks on his own citizens. We hope his lectures don’t include spying into private homes, driving around neighborhoods looking for “bad Jews” and the other creepy actions with which he has now been formally charged with.

All these lawsuits expose what most of us already know, however the ‘punitive punishments’ will hurt the fellow Jackson Strong residents as well as the Orthodox ones alike. It’s no secret that the fact-less based fear mongering contributes to all this, yet we should all hope that there’s a way to punish those at fault individually verses the community as a whole.
Freeholders should never hire bigots like Reina…he should resign in shame ..

Sources in Jackson have confirmed that multiple lawsuits are being planned as people thought town was moving forward but now with Reinas gloves off it is time to stick up for their civil rights and Reina and Nixon will be personally sued

Nothing will help. No lawyer will take this case. Serious violations of OPRA, FOIA and records retention laws. Resigning will not help. This is over and done with and they are toast.
