Pedestrian struck, critically injured in Lakewood (VIDEO)

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and critically injured in Lakewood this evening.

The accident occurred on Ocean Avenue near the intersection of Park Avenue at approximately 10:40 PM.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel found the pedestrian in traumatic arrest and immediately began administering CPR.

A portion of Route 88 is being shut down for the Traffic Safety investigation.
