PHOTOS: Jackson Township proclaims April 16 as Education and Sharing Day, honoring the Lubavitcher Rebbe Zatzal

At last night’s town council meeting, the Jackson town council proclaimed April 16th (corresponding to 11 Nissan) as Education and Sharing Day.

Rabbi Shmuel Naparstek of Chabad of Jackson accepted the proclamation that honored the Lubavitcher Rebbe ZT”L’s contribution to education.

In 1978, the U.S. Congress asked President Carter to designate the Rebbe’s birthday as the national Education and Sharing Day to recognize and pay tribute to his efforts for a better education for all American citizens.

Since then, each year on that day, the President issues a proclamation which calls on American citizens to follow the example set by The Rebbe and focus on education and betterment of society.

  1. Useless ploy for brownie points with the AG’s. Shows their panic. Too late. They’re done. They should get educated… on the Bill of Rights. Their days are over. Proclamation is a blatant deception. Panic setting in. Days are counting down.
