Emergency personnel: Helmet saved Lakewood boy’s life

Emergency personnel tell TLS the helmet a Lakewood boy was wearing when he was struck by a vehicle, saved his life.

“Had he not been wearing the helmet, we would have been looking at a funeral,” one first responder told TLS.

Upon impact, the 13-year-old flew onto the roof of the vehicle, was dragged, and then fell to the pavement.

“He took a nasty hit – there’s no question the helmet saved his life,” another responder said.

The boy last night underwent numerous testing, and appears to not have suffered any life-threatening injuries.

”He still needs Tefillos (prayers),” a friend of the family said.
