We regret to inform you of the Petirah or Reb Yaakov Yehuda Spitzer Z”L, who was Niftar over Shabbos in New York.
Reb Yaakov Yehuda Z”L is the father of Lakewood’s Skverre Dayan. Other siblings are Reb Shloima (Lakewood), Mrs. Reisman, Mrs. Kirzner and Mrs. Karfoil. He was 86.
The Levaya will be taking place at approximately 11:00 PM at Shomrei Hadas Chapel in Boro Park.

He was also the Father in law of Rabbi Reisman of Flatbush.
Ouch. This one hurts. I grew up with R’ Yaakov Leib as he davened in the same shul as my father in Nitra Shul in BP. My father was with him in Yeshiva and were close friends all the yrs. The niftar was a Kodesh V’tahor, always with a smile and never, EVER saying a bad word about anyone or ever raising his voice at any time. He was also a superb Ba’al Tokeah.
He also, btw, has another daughter, Mrs Ullman who, last I heard, lives in BP.
