At least two Lakewood homes were burglarized over Shabbos while the residents slept, residents reported to TLS.

The burglaries occurred Friday night in the Spruce Street area.

In at least one of the incidents, the burglar(s) climbed through an open window to gain access to the home.

Cash and jewelry were stolen during the burglaries.

Lakewood’s Detective Bureau and CSI are investigating.

  1. When my family of seven lived in Queens NY, we had the same thing. Not one of us woke up. My mother would NOT let us have dogs; I have two now, and they will hear anything in our neighborhood that’s not right. And they are loud. Anyway, glad no one was hurt. My son’s home was broken into in Raintree a few years back. The guy never took anything, however was on his computer on sites he shouldn’t have been. Never found out who he was. It’s really creepy.
