Last night, TLS reported about residents’ complaints regarding the Verizon data service In Lakewood.
We reached out to Verizon for comment about the issue.
“We are routinely optimizing the network to maximize performance,” Verizon’s David Weissman tells TLS. “In addition, we have upgrades anticipated starting early this summer.”
Last year, a resident launched a petition to upgrade the towers, and Verizon Wireless responded to TLS about it.
Weissman did not release specifics with regards to the slated upgrades.

Just an FYI I was told this over a year ago. I’ve been contacting them routinely and get the same go around every time.
So we drive them crazy and force them to keep 3G and not upgrade completely as they wanted to, and now we’re upset that the service isn’t great. Go figure
If I would be a cynic I would ponder whether this is the cause of antisemitism but I’m not so I’ll leave that to the people with nothing better to do
Is it everyone who is experiencing issues or just the deprioritized customers on Verizon Prepaid and MVNOs such as redpocket?
I switched from T-Mobile to Verizon thinking this service will be better. Although The phone service is considerably better the data is much much worse, In fact Waze did not work and my son nearly missed his flight to Israel
