Letter: Suspicious

Reader-submitted: On Shabbos afternoon, a white vehicle, possibly a 2017 nissan nv200, was spotted twice in Brookhill Estates taking pictures of children.

The vehicle had no license plates. There were possibly 2 different drivers, a Hispanic male with a scruffy beard, and a clean shaven male or female with a black pony tail.

In both sightings, the driver appeared to be wearing a mesh vest with orange and yellow highlights.

Lakewood police and LCSW have been notified.

  1. We had the same incident in Jackson. Where the kids came running saying that someone in that vest was taking pics of them. But then I thought that those ppl work for amazon on the weekends. They deliver in personal cars with those vests. They take a pic of the item at the front door that it was delivered. So look into that…

  2. They are more than likely working as Amazon delivery.
They use their own cars/vans and wear safety vest.
Amazon also makes them take a picture of the location they delivered the item to prove it was in fact delivered.

  3. please re read the letter . it said no license plates on vehicle. I do not thinj amazon would have illegal cars delivering their stuff

  4. It should be easy enough to figure out – find out from the family living at the brookhill home that the pictures were being taken in front of – if they had an amazon, or any other amazon brand such as zappos, delivery that day… If they did it can be easy to track who delivered it and why the car had no license plates…

  5. In addition to the regular carriers you’re used to seeing, Amazon also outsources third party delivery services for deliveries. These are quite common in the area.
I believe they’re required to wear vest and also take pictures, showing that the item was delivered at the front door.
