PHOTOS: After approximately 3 months, intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Ridge Avenue reopens with upgrades

The intersection of Ridge Avenue and New Hampshire Avenue is finally open – after about three months of work.

The construction job opened a turning lane from both New Hampshire Avenue and Ridge Avenue to allow for a smoother traffic flow.

The engineering company, T & M, tells TLS they will still be completing paving for the intersection.

That is expected to be done on nights in approximately two weeks.

  1. Thanks to the road department for finishing up, but doesn’t it look and feel a bit bumpy, can anyone request them to make smooth, or is this just phase 1

  2. It is such a relief. So many people drive that road few times a day. There is no other easy way to New Hampshire.
Happy to finally get it open!

  3. Maybe now the chaos on County Line at Ridge will stop. Hopefully the county will pave County Line Rd from Ridge to Joe Parker Rd soon before everyone loses their suspension.

  4. Is New Hampshire ever going to hit County Line Rd or did the town let houses on what would be a road? Would it help traffic if a road goes throw?

  5. Great job (just long). Now, what about the light at County Line and Ridge? I have been here almost 14 years and we have been promised a left turn signal from County Line going east onto Ridge.. Now, motorists have to close their eyes when turning and hope for the best. Mayor Coles can confirm this; he lives in this neighborhood too.

  6. Upgrade?? Now those going east on Ridge can no longer make a right on red onto New Hampshire and the light backs up! How is this better??
