PHOTOS: Rabbonim, Community Leaders tour site of Mikva Tehara of Western Ocean County

With the incredible recent growth of the communities situated NW Ocean County, the need for a Mikvah Tehara has become crucial.

The communities have gathered together to initiate the building of a Mikvah in the Pawnee area, with access from Countyline Road. It will service the close to 1,000 families in the Poplar and Pawnee communities in Lakewood, and the Brookwood 1,2,3 Flair, Oakley Hills and Prospect Pointe in Jackson.

With construction underway and gathering momentum, Rabbonim from the different neighborhoods gathered to view the construction and discuss the different halachos involved.

This gathering was in preparation for the Hanachas Even Hapinah, which is scheduled to take place Sunday June 23rd.

  1. Momentous development! Very encouraging to hear that the mikveh is finally becoming a reality. Mikveh means “a gathering.” Hopefully, all whose lives are positively impacted by this historic but costly undertaking will “come together” and unite around this important project and contribute generously. Thank you Rabbi Kaplan for your leadership at this crucial juncture.
