PHOTOS: Yeshiva Knesses Chizkiyahu Celebrates Historic Siyum Hashas at 70th Anniversary, Honoring Zkan HaMashgichim HaRav Dov Yaffe Zt”l

Over 2,000 alumni of Yeshiva Knesses Chizkiyahu in Kfar Chassidim gathered at Binyanei Ha’umah in Yerushalayim for a historic celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Yeshiva’s founding.

The alumni came from around the world and spanned all age groups. A monumental Siyum Hashas was held l’iluy nishmasthe Yeshiva’s legendary Mashgiach, HaRav Dov Yaffe zt”l, who succeeded HaRav Eliyahu Lopian zt”l. HaRav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi shlit”a, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva TiferesYisroel and an alumnus of Knesses Chizkiyahu, addressed the gathering. Other preeminent alumni of the Yeshiva include the Lakewood Mashgiach, HaRav Mattisyahu Salamon shlit”a.

Lakewood resident Reb Duvi Honig, founder of the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce and Parnassah Network, was Guest of Honor at the event. Reb Duvi is an alumnus of Yeshiva Knesses Chizkiyahu and he enjoyed uniquely close relationship with Rav Yaffe through the Mashgiach’s final days.

In his address at the gathering, HaRav Yehoshua Mann shlit”a, Rosh Yeshiva Knesses Chizkiyahu, stressed the Yeshiva’s consistent emphasis on bein adam l’chaveiro, hand in hand with limud haTorah and avodas Hashem. “This is what Yeshiva Knesses Chizkiyahu truly represents,” Reb Duvi attests. “May Hashem help me and my fellow alumni live up to the ideals thatwe were zoche to see in Yeshiva and from its illustrious gedolim.”
