The Administration, Board and staff realize that we have a “long way to go “ , however, let us take a moment to reflect on the positive trends that we are experiencing  despite the many challenges faced by our students, families, and staff including , but not limited, to the State not providing monies for a “T an E” education that has , in the past, caused “Reductions In Force”, instability, etc.

Also, lest we forget, the Lakewood school district is the only public school district in Ocean County that has a urban student population that is more than 90% minority, 100 % free and reduced lunch , more second language learners than any other school district in Ocean County, more “at risk “ students as determined by NJDOE criteria than any other district in Ocean County, etc.
