VIDEO: Lakewood School District staff, Police, and Jewish community step up to the plate to assist fatal accident victim families; Update from Attorney Inzelbuch

Attorney Michael Inzelbuch today along with several officials from the Lakewood School District, Lakewood Police Department and others  visited the families of the fatal accident victims.

Inzelbuch says numerous people have already stepped up to the plate to offer assistance and are providing for the family.

Inzelbuch has also gotten several organizations involved to assist the family, including CHEMED, and Preferred Behavioral.

Avraham Krawiec has arranged busing for the children who did not have busing.

J2 Pizza donated pizza and fries for the children who wanted pizza.

Over $1,000 was already donated by the Jewish community.

A page to donate to the families is in the process of being set up.

  1. Can tell us are the family jewish and what is there last name if it’s possible I am so sorry for the loss of the parents

  2. Perhaps some might not consider it prejudice, but I am concerned that the “Jewish community” is highlighted as “stepping up to the plate” as though (1) they haven’t been in the game and (2) it’s assumed in wonderment that the Jewish community cares about public school students and (3) Jews are stereotyped with money. Why were other religious denominations not highlighted? Why not highlight the many Jewish contributions to the greater community (BOE, public school classroom teachers, firefighters, Lakewood First Aid, etc.). I am not surprised that Jewish citizens have reached out to care for their neighbors (regardless of religious affiliation) because that’s what Jews do … it’s what good neighbors do. This is not a tragic accident that brought out the goodness of our Jewish neighbors but, simply, another example of them proving their worth (though they should not need to do so).

  3. I think it’s great that Mr. Inzelbuch does so much for the town, but I really hope that he is not driving while recording a video about 2 people that lost their lives in a vehicle accident.

That being said, it is wonderful to see the community reach out.
