And yet again: Multiple Lakewood homes burglarized over Shabbos

As first reported on our Status: bit.ly/2Z0LYBc, multiple Lakewood homes were burglarized over Shabbos.

The burglaries occurred sometime Friday night on Twin Oaks Drive.

In at least one incident, the burglar(s) reportedly made entry through an unlocked door, and in another two incidents, via windows.

A pocketbook was stolen from at least one home, and cash was stolen.

A neighbor also reports that three men with flashlights were seen walking around the area around 3 AM.

CSI was summoned to investigate.

  1. Oh, CSI was, in fact, summoned. Yeah, that’ll help. Rabbosai, if theres no cameras CSI cant do much. And if your doors and windows aren’t locked, well, that’s also not gonna help things. These are lowlife thugs preying on the innocent. We cant heal them but we need to do what we can to stop them and, hopefully, catch them and lock em up. And very soon. A.G.G.Y.

  2. In my opinion TLS need to say which neighborhoods they are hitting and have more police patrol the areas around those times especially friday nights. And please LOCK YOUR DOORS AND WINDOWS ❗ I cant stress it enough, DONT give them an entry point. It’s so sad how every weekend it’s the same thing Im not an hasidic jew but as a human being I feel incredibly sad for what they have to go through every weekend, not knowing if you’ll be next or not.. I hope everyone stays safe ❤

  3. This is mamesh heartbreaking. I’m pretty sure it IS the same crooks doing this. TLS keeps reporting these stories, the oilam begs for help from LPD or LCSW and it just keeps happening.

    Really, really, sad.

  4. If all doors and windows are locked they will figure out another way. Last week they cut through a wall to gain entry to a home office. They are very brazen and a window lock will it stop them. It’s time to stop blaming the victims. The Police need to up their game it’s an embarrassment to the police.

    • Stop blaming the police! They put themselves at risk every single day for the community and they just cant be everywhere all the time. Residents need to take some personal responsibility!. Do whatever you need to do to secure your homes! If you think you have better ideas, you are invited to attend the police academy and join the force.

  5. You can’t fool me, Lkwd isn’t low crime.Every shabbos there are burglaries. Criminals go where the pickings are easy and to households known not to trust banks with valuables. Invest in cameras and a security system, lock your windows and doors, keep your valuables locked, preferably not in your home.

  6. Wish, I’m not a hassidic Jew either. But what you’re saying is just common sense. Why would a burglar force his way in when there are easy pickings by the careless neighbors. Guys please let’s make this as hard as possible for them!
